Organ Stop Pizza is hosting its annual “Christmas in July” food drive from July 1 to July 31, offering guests a discount in exchange for donations supporting United Food Bank, according to a press release.
Guests who bring at least three nonperishable food items or make a $3 cash donation during the promotion will receive 10% off their pre-tax food total that evening.
Each night, two guests will be selected to receive a complimentary stocking filled with Organ Stop Pizza items. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also visit the restaurant on Saturdays and Sundays throughout July, with schedules subject to change.
Organ Stop Pizza is at 1149 E. Southern Ave. in Mesa.
The annual summer initiative supports United Food Bank during a time when demand for food assistance typically increases. With children out of school and higher utility costs during the summer months, many families face additional financial pressures that can impact access to food.
“When you drop off donations for this food drive in July, you will be able to step out of the triple-digit temps into the spirit of the holidays,” Linda Guthrie, manager at Organ Stop Pizza, said. “Our staff always looks forward to this special month where we deck the Mighty Wurlitzer and walls with a Christmas feel. Jingle all the way to OSP in Mesa and help a worthy cause!”
