Christian Care Ministry has named Shawn Curtis as chief administrative officer.
Curtis brings more than 20 years of experience aligning front-line operations with organizational strategy. He most recently served as a human resources executive with Walgreens.
“Shawn has a proven track record of transformative organizational and people leadership, and we are excited to welcome him to the Medi-Share family,” Joe Turner, chairman of the board at Christian Care Ministry, said. “Because we are a people-first ministry, I know Shawn’s passions will align with what is best for both our internal teams and the members we serve. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses Shawn’s specific skill set in guiding Medi-Share through these critical days ahead in the world of health care.”
Christian Care Ministry administers Medi-Share, a health care sharing ministry. The organization has recently undergone operational changes, including efforts to streamline processes and implement new technology.
Mr. Curtis has experience in workforce strategy, employee engagement and leadership development. He has also been recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor and the state of Tennessee for work supporting veteran and minority representation in the workforce.
In his new role, Mr. Curtis will oversee human resources and facilities functions, including training and development programs, and will serve as a member of the executive management team.
“Christian Care Ministry’s mission to share in one another’s burdens resonates deeply with me as a believer, which aligns with the goal of maintaining a strong culture and overseeing spiritual development,” Mr. Curtis said. “I am enthusiastic about contributing to CCM’s mission and helping drive employee engagement and organizational success.”
