Child Crisis Arizona has received a $250,000 grant from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation to strengthen the organization’s ability to provide prevention, intervention and wellness programs for vulnerable children and families throughout Arizona.

The grant will allow Child Crisis Arizona to invest in areas of greatest need across its continuum of care, including emergency shelter and residential services for children and youth from birth to age 21, foster care and adoption, early education, parenting education, family support, counseling, wellness services and independent living programs for young adults transitioning from foster care, according to a press release.

“This generous investment allows us to respond wherever the need is greatest, whether helping a child find safety, giving parents the tools they need to succeed, expanding access to early education, or ensuring young adults leaving foster care have the support to build independent, successful lives,” Child Crisis Arizona Chief Executive Officer Torrie A. Taj said. “Together, we are creating lasting change that will benefit Arizona families for generations.”

“When a family is in crisis, there’s rarely just one problem to solve,” The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation Co-Founder Bob Parsons said. “Child Crisis Arizona knows that better than most. They have the experience to navigate tough situations from every angle and help families come out stronger on the other side.”

The partnership extends beyond financial support. Foundation Co-Founder Renee Parsons recently visited the Child Crisis Arizona Center for Child & Family Wellness to participate in a musical movement class hosted in partnership with Rosie’s House alongside local families.

The visit provided an opportunity to observe programs designed to support children and caregivers through activities focused on connection and well-being.

“My recent visit to Child Crisis Arizona was filled with the kind of joyful moments that stay with you, but it also reinforced just how essential this organization is to our community,” The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation Co-Founder Renee Parsons said. “They understand that supporting a child means supporting the entire family, and for nearly five decades they have been an invaluable source of care, stability and hope for Arizona families.”
