Weller: Scottsdale City Council and staff step up to save firefighter lives. Thank You

Scottsdale firefighters face many risks just doing their job. Burning buildings. Car accidents. Heart attacks. Wildfires. Mountain rescues in the Preserve. But when hospitals have to rely on manufacturers to service their equipment, too often, broken equipment doesn’t get repaired in a timely manner and that can delay crucial patient care.

Dydyk & Duffy: When the body hurts, the mind suffers too — Why we must treat pain and depression together

Chronic pain is not just about what hurts in your body – it lingers in your thoughts, shapes your moods, and touches every part of your daily life. It can alter how you move, how you interact with others, and even how you perceive yourself. Over time it chips away at your joy, drains energy and slowly rewrites what “normal” feels like.
