HealthyU Clinics has added Dr. Usma Ahmad to its Chandler clinic as part of efforts to expand access to patient care, according to a press release.
Dr. Ahmad is a board-certified internal medicine physician with experience in primary care and a focus on metabolic health, obesity medicine and women’s health, including polycystic ovary syndrome.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ahmad to our family of providers,” Varesh Chaurasia, chief executive officer of HealthyU Clinics, said. “Her dedication to building compassionate relationships with her patients combined with her expertise and her philosophy of creating sustainable care plans makes her a valuable addition to the Chandler team and we are very fortunate to have her.”
Dr. Ahmad earned her medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed her residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.
At the Chandler clinic, Dr. Ahmad will provide care for patients ages 18 and older, including annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, medical weight management and care coordination with specialty referrals.
