The Pemberton, an outdoor venue and cultural hub in downtown Phoenix, is partnering with the Phoenix Zoo to mark National Pink Flamingo Day on June 23 while supporting wildlife conservation efforts.
Throughout June, The Pemberton will donate $1 from every “Pink Flamingo” cocktail sold to the Phoenix Zoo. Guests who present their Phoenix Zoo ticket within a week of admission will also receive 15% off food and drink purchases through Aug. 16, according to a press release.
“We chose the flamingo to be The Pemberton’s mascot because like us, it stands apart from the crowd and isn’t afraid to be itself,” said Jonathon Vento, creator of The Pemberton. “Our mission has always been to provide the Phoenix community with a safe place to land and find their flock. Partnering with Phoenix Zoo allows us to celebrate our mascot while supporting wildlife conservation and the incredible work the Zoo does.”
Mr. Vento said the partnership reflects the venue’s community-focused mission and interest in supporting conservation efforts.
“The Phoenix Zoo is excited to collaborate with The Pemberton for Pink Flamingo Day,” said Jordan Noble, Marketing & Communications Manager of Phoenix Zoo. “We love celebrating our animals with those who share the same admiration for wildlife and conservation, and we appreciate the Pemberton’s generosity towards the Zoo and its animals.”
Ms. Noble said the collaboration offers a way to engage the public in conservation while highlighting the zoo’s animals.
The Pemberton’s summer programming includes themed pool parties at Ibiza, holiday-themed events, weekly karaoke, bingo and trivia nights, and drag shows. The venue also offers $10 happy hour food and drink specials all day every Thursday and Sunday.
