The community rallied as Swizzle Inn hosted a charity golf tournament at Palo Verde Golf Course in Phoenix on Saturday, April 25, 2026, raising $6,670 for Maggie’s Place.
Seventy-two golfers participated in the tournament, while additional community members contributed donations at the bar.
Funds raised will support Maggie’s Place, a Phoenix nonprofit that provides safe housing and a supportive community for homeless pregnant women, along with services designed to help them achieve stability for themselves and their children, according to a press release.
“Seeing the community rally around this cause is incredible,” said Annie Gaillard, general manager of Swizzle Inn. “This fundraiser would not have been possible without every golfer, every donor, and every person who stopped by to support Maggie’s Place.”
Ms. Gaillard said Maggie’s Place was selected because of its mission to help women during difficult circumstances.
“Maggie’s Place goes beyond providing shelter,” said Ms. Gaillard. “They create a supportive environment that gives women the opportunity to rebuild, gain confidence, and create a better future for themselves and their babies. That is something we are proud to support.”
Swizzle Inn has operated in uptown Phoenix since opening in 1996 and serves as a neighborhood gathering place. The bar has developed a reputation for community connection and local support.
“Being part of this community for so many years means giving back whenever we can,” said Ms. Gaillard. “Phoenix has supported Swizzle Inn for decades, and events like this are one way we can support our community in return.”
