The James Agency formalizes insights department to better serve clients

The James Agency is announcing key shifts and a new hire representatives of the Scottsdale-based, women-led public relations and marketing agency say are integral to 2024 expansion plans.
Recently awarded by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing privately-owned companies in America, The James Agency is broadening its service offerings and expertise during a vital year for the agency, representatives of the brand tell the Digital Free Press.
The James Agency is formalizing its insights department with Mike Palmgren, who joined TJA in 2023 as director of media, will shift to a new role for the agency — director of insights.
Mr. Palmgren is spearheading the agency’s consumer insights and data strategy efforts, which representatives say will convert market research into actionable insights that drive client strategies, campaigns and business growth.
Paid media veteran Laura Girard is joining The James Agency as director of media, stepping into the role that drives traditional and digital media results for agency clients. Ms. Girard brings more than a decade of paid media experience to TJA, including past experience in media and marketing director roles.

The James Agency will also buff up its current staff in the fourth quarter of the calendar year, adding multiple positions including video editor, videographer, web developer, media planner and sales coordinator.
In addition to the Inc. 5000 honor, TJA was named an Inc. Best Workplace in 2024.
TJA was founded in 2005 by Veronique James when she realized that there had to be a better way to operate a marketing firm. Today, the agency boasts 41 full-time employees and has secured clients such as Fox Restaurant Concepts, USA Pickleball, M Culinary Concepts, SRP, Northern Arizona University (NAU) and city of Scottsdale, which includes the updated marketing efforts for two renowned Scottsdale entities — WestWorld of Scottsdale and Scottsdale Stadium.
