Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is celebrating the property’s 30th anniversary by delivering checks totaling more than $30,000 to Valley 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Five local charities including Soldier’s Best Friend, Phoenix Pride, F.O.R. Maricopa, Maricopa Pantry, Inc. and The Veterans in Need Project received donations from the property’s HERO fund and guest NRT donations, according to a press release.
HERO, a team member-based volunteer program, enables Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino employees and their families to make noteworthy and visible contributions to the community by donating their time, skills, expertise, and compassion to dozens of volunteer projects, the release states.
“Giving back is absolutely the best part of my job,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager Michael Kintner.
“I’m proud of our team and our guests that value the critical programs and services that keep our Valley community strong. In addition to the support from Harrah’s employees, our guests’ financial contributions through our NRT donation program make a world of difference to those who need a hand up. I’m proud to be a part of this team.”
Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is the state’s first and only tribal casino with an international management partner, a relationship that began 30 years ago with Caesars Entertainment and successfully continues today.
“Harrah’s is an integral part of the community and our longtime relationship with Ak-Chin Indian Community is testament to that,” Mr. Kintner. “Our ability to provide quality entertainment and give back to our community is a cornerstone of the relationship with Ak-Chin.”
