Crown Realty & Development CEO Robert Flaxman has passed away.
Mr. Flaxman helmed Crown Realty & Development, which is based in Irvine, California, but with deep ties to the development community in the Valley of the Sun.
Here in the Town of Paradise Valley, Crown Realty & Development breathed new life into the iconic Mountain Shadows Golf Resort and built Omni Montelucia — both staples of luxury commercial space.
Over the past three decades the company has developed and invested in a multitude of projects nationwide. It made its mark as the owner and redeveloper of the Burbank Mall among many notable projects.
Crown Realy & Development owns and is developing City North in the rapidly growing area of North Phoenix as well as the Adeline, the premier luxury high-rise residential building in downtown Phoenix, directly across from the Footprint Center.
“We have had a wonderful seat with Robert at the Crown table for so many years. What a businessman he was! What an emotional and incredibly sad day it was to learn of his passing,” said Jim O’Neill and Rick Carpinelli in a joint statement.
Mr. O’Neill is the senior vice president for the California operations, meanwhile, Mr. Carpinelli has led Arizona development for nearly 20 years.
“We are shocked by the loss of friend, father, husband and businessman with an acumen second to none. There are no words of comfort at this time for his family and friends. It is a huge loss for all of us,” they said.
