Construction activity has begun as officials at DMB Associates are reporting the next phase in One Scottsdale is underway at the 75-acre swath of land just north of Loop 101 along Scottsdale Road.
The 21-acre portion of the property, DMB officials say, between Thompson Peak Parkway and Legacy Boulevard, consists of a Hilton Home2Suites hotel and retail, dining shops and medical offices.
Company officials said completion of the infrastructure to support the first phase hotel and retail deals, which closed on the property in 2021, is expected by the end of this month. The Home2Suites hotel is the first property completed in this phase and is expected to welcome guests this October. The first retail building is expected to commence construction this summer with an opening in 2023.
“North Scottsdale has evolved into an incredibly dynamic area. We were honored to play a role in that with DC Ranch and now with One Scottsdale,” said Michael Burke, DMB senior vice president of commercial development, in a prepared statement.
“Because of our proximity to vibrant neighborhoods like Grayhawk, new corporate headquarters along the 101 and thriving luxury hotels, car dealerships and shopping to our south, we’re pleased that our next phases will largely add some additional opportunities to support what is already developed around us,”
Found situated on 54 acres just south of Legacy Boulevard is another mixed-use development officials there say is envisaged to be a village-type environment with residential projects along with boutique resort, hotel and mixed-use restaurant/office projects with 200,000 square feet to expand.
DMB officials report StreetLights Residential is the first company to close on Class-A property at this portion of the development. Build-out is anticipated to occur over the next decade, officials say.
