Last month, I had the joy of attending a celebration that highlighted an extraordinary moment for Scottsdale.
Over the past 12 months, leaders from various political backgrounds set aside their differences to rally around a common goal: to protect Scottsdale’s award-winning neighborhood schools by electing experienced professionals to our school board. The effort was driven by a shared understanding that transcends politics; the future of our community relies on our children having access to a high-quality education.
We collectively championed Mike Sharkey, Donna Lewis and Matt Pittinsky who were undeniably the most qualified candidates dedicated to ensuring that our schools not only survive these challenging times for public education but continue to thrive.
The Protect SUSD slate are focused on working with staff, parents, and students to provide data-driven solutions.
Their goal is to advance our schools through fiscal responsibility and retaining experienced educators, rather than fueling the culture war flames.
By supporting our educational institutions, we are safeguarding children’s right to a quality education and equipping them with the tools they need to lead fulfilling and successful lives.
This commitment is vital as it lays the groundwork for developing our community’s future leaders. As we inspire and nurture the talents of our youth, we contribute to a brighter tomorrow for everyone.
It was truly inspiring to witness such bipartisan support for our schools and to see so many individuals dedicated to a cause greater than themselves.
Together, we reaffirmed the belief that when we unite for a common purpose, we can achieve remarkable outcomes for our residents whom all thrive from highly rated schools. This celebration serves as a reminder of what is possible when we work together, and it ignites hope for the continued progress of our educational system.
