Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN), a Scottsdale-based grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is turning up the good vibes with its annual Peace, Love & FUN-draising event at The Backyard at Desert Ridge, according to a press release.
The celebration will feature live music, food, one complimentary drink, lively auctions and a dance floor full of groovy energy — all while raising money to support those in need in the local community.
The event is 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 at Backyard at Desert Ridge – 21001 N. Tatum Blvd. Cost is $50.
Unlike many large charities, NHN operates with no paid staff, meaning 100% of funds go directly to its programs. These include:
- •Providing resources and emergency support for first responders
- Assisting seniors with home access projects, such as building wheelchair ramps
- Supporting local veterans through targeted aid programs
- Supplying Christmas gifts to more than 200 children in the Valley through the Shop With a Cop program
“Our mission is simple — neighbors helping neighbors,” said Mr. Michael Franks, event chairman. “This event is not only a fun night out, it’s a powerful way for people to make a real difference right here at home. Every bid, every ticket, every dance step — it all helps someone in our community,” Mr. Franks said.
Attendees can expect an evening packed with:

• Buffet dinner and one free drink – Enjoy delicious food and a toast to giving back
• 1970s theme and funky attire – Guests are encouraged to dress in their grooviest outfits
