Terracon has announced the retirement of Senior Principal Chuck Reynolds, who spent 20 years in consulting engineering.

Mr. Reynolds joined Terracon in 2006 as a senior project manager, focusing on developing Arizona Department of Transportation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers work for the company’s Arizona offices, according to a press release. Terracon is a Kansas-based firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, landscape architecture and materials services.

He began full-time client development in 2012, focusing on public and energy-sector work. Mr. Reynolds transitioned to private-sector business development in 2015.

“Chuck’s retirement marks the conclusion of an extraordinary career defined by leadership, mentorship, and a genuine passion for elevating those around him. Whether as a teammate or supervisor, I consistently found myself learning from his insight, creativity, and out of the box thinking,” Mr. Rodstein said. “His steady guidance and positive attitude have shaped our team in lasting ways. We are deeply grateful for his contributions and wish him nothing but the very best in this next chapter.”

Mr. Reynolds was involved in several national and local industry organizations, including the American Council of Engineering Consultants, the American Public Works Association, the Arizona Association of County Engineers, the Arizona Energy Consortium, the Arizona Competitive Power Alliance, ULI Arizona, Valley Partnership, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and the Arizona Association for Economic Development.

A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mr. Reynolds graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in geology. He said he plans to spend his retirement fly fishing, gardening and traveling while remaining in the Valley.

“I plan to spend time with family and friends, undertake some personal projects, and perform volunteer work,” Mr. Reynolds said. “It’s a time for personal growth, travel, and whatever comes along.”
