The creators of Drunk Shakespeare are bringing Drunk Dracula back to Phoenix this fall for a limited engagement at The Rose Theatre in downtown Phoenix.
Performances will run from Thursday, Sept. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 1, at The Rose Theatre, 455 N. Third St., Suite 1010, in the Arizona Center. Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 17. The production features one actor performing while intoxicated while the remaining cast members attempt to navigate a comedic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel.
The show returns following its previous run in Phoenix and offers audiences a Halloween-themed theatrical experience that combines improvisation and comedy with the classic vampire story, according to a press release.
“Phoenix audiences embraced Drunk Dracula in a big way last season, so bringing it back was an easy decision,” David Hudson, co-creator of Drunk Shakespeare, said. “Whether you’re a horror fan, a theater lover, or simply looking for a wildly entertaining night out, this show delivers a Halloween experience unlike anything else.”
Guests should note that the main entrance to The Rose Theatre is located off North Third Street, just north of Van Buren Avenue.
The production reimagines Count Dracula’s arrival in Phoenix through a comedic, audience-focused format that incorporates improvisation and unexpected moments throughout each performance.
Craft cocktails and snacks will be available for purchase during performances.
A Royal Experience for Two package is available for $500 and includes VIP throne seating, a bottle of champagne, handcrafted cocktails, food items and opportunities for audience participation during the show.
Mr. Hudson said the production is designed to appeal to a range of audiences, including theatergoers, horror fans and those looking for seasonal entertainment during the Halloween season.
