Ellen Andeen-Keller elected vice mayor at Paradise Valley Town Hall

It was standing room only during the evening hours of Thursday, Jan. 9 at Paradise Valley Town Hall, 6401 E. Lincoln Drive, as Mark Stanton was sworn-in as the top figurehead of the local municipality.
In addition to the swearing in of a new mayor, two members of Town Council were sworn in. The Town of Paradise Valley saw two members of its local governing board seek the station of mayor this election cycle meanwhile Karen Liepmann, Scott Moore and Julie Pace were unchallenged and beginning new terms this January.
Ellen Andeen-Keller was elected vice mayor at the Jan. 9 meeting.
Town of Paradise Valley voters had a choice for the next mayor meanwhile each candidate running for a seat on Town Council ran unopposed following the departure of Tim Dickman from the local political race late last year.

The Town of Paradise Valley government features the mayor and six Town Council members who are elected at large as representatives of the Town of Paradise Valley. The Town Council appoints the town manager, the town attorney, and the presiding judge.
The mayor is elected on a two-year term. Those elected to Town Council are elected to serve four-year staggered terms.
Unlike most municipalities, elected officials with Paradise Valley are not compensated for their service. The Mayor, Vice Mayor and Council Members are given no salary from the Town.
