Chelsea’s Kitchen will celebrate its 10th Annual Hatch Green Chile Festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, beginning at 10 a.m. at the restaurant’s Arcadia location.
The event will feature freshly roasted Hatch green chiles from New Mexico, specialty menu items, drinks, live music and family activities, according to a press release.
Hatch, New Mexico, is widely known for its green chile production because of growing conditions that contribute to the peppers’ distinctive flavor and texture.
Fresh-roasted chiles available for purchase
Chelsea’s Kitchen is partnering with Young Guns Produce of Hatch, New Mexico, to roast fresh green chiles on-site. Customers can purchase chiles during the event or pre-order them in advance.
Roasted chiles will be available for:
- 1-pound bags: $5
- 5-pound bags: $23
Festival menu, drinks and entertainment
The festival will feature a special menu available both outdoors and inside the restaurant. Menu items include green chile queso dip, green chile French dip sliders, gluten-free green chile cornbread, crispy green chile mulitas and Chelsea’s Kitchen’s signature green chile stew. Guests can also enjoy prickly pear sorbet from Grateful Spoon.
Drink offerings will include mezcal margaritas, draft beer and white sangria. Entertainment will include Spanish guitar performances by Gustavo De Angeles and face painting for children.
Chelsea’s Kitchen is at 5040 N. 40th St. in Phoenix, just north of Camelback Road.
