Luna Grill, a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant chain, has expanded its Arizona footprint with the opening of a new restaurant in Avondale.

Found at 9750 W. Indian School Road, the restaurant is Luna Grill’s third Arizona location since the Southern California-based brand entered the market in November 2025.

The Avondale location is the company’s first restaurant in the West Valley and follows openings in Mesa and Gilbert. The expansion continues Luna Grill’s growth throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, according to a press release.

“As we continue to grow in Arizona, our goal is to make fresh, wholesome Mediterranean food more accessible to communities across the Valley,” Luna Grill CEO Rich Pinnella said. “Expanding into the West Valley is an important next step for us, and we’re excited to fuel the city of Avondale and give more Arizona families and fitness enthusiasts a convenient option for healthy, high-quality meals.”

Founded in San Diego in 2004 by husband-and-wife team Sean and Maria Pourteymour, Luna Grill serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes made to order. The Avondale restaurant features the company’s updated restaurant design, including murals by a local artist, and offers dine-in, takeout and digital ordering options.

The restaurant’s menu includes flame-grilled kabobs, bowls, wraps, salads, pitas, family meals and catering offerings. Luna Grill said its proteins are marinated for 24 hours using family recipes before being grilled, while gyro meat is shaved fresh to order and sauces are prepared daily.

To mark the opening, Luna Grill is offering promotions through its Club Luna loyalty app, including a free Luna hat and bowl for the first 62 guests. Customers who download the app can receive $5 off their first purchase. Club Luna members also have access to promotions, rewards and nutrition-related resources.

The Avondale restaurant expands Luna Grill’s presence in Arizona as the company introduces its menu to additional communities throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
