C2 Tactical has opened its first franchise location in Mesa, marking a milestone in the company’s expansion.
The new location opened Thursday, July 2, at 9253 E. Willis Road, Suite 101, in Mesa. A grand opening celebration includes raffles for the first 100 visitors and promotional sales tied to the Independence Day holiday.
The 23,000-square-foot facility features a 23-lane indoor shooting range, a simulation room, classrooms and a VIP suite. The Mesa location is the company’s first franchise and expands C2 Tactical’s presence in the East Valley, according to a press release.
The franchise is owned and operated by Tina Drake and Turner Drake, a mother-and-son team who were longtime customers of C2 Tactical before becoming franchise owners.
“For us, this is truly a family venture,” Tina Drake, co-owner of C2 Tactical Mesa, said. “C2 Tactical has created a space that values learning, safety, and connection. Being part of that as franchise owners is incredibly meaningful, especially as we introduce this experience to more families and first-time shooters in the East Valley.”
“As longtime customers, we had already experienced firsthand the consistency, professionalism and community that C2 Tactical provides, so when we learned franchising was available, it felt like a natural fit,” Turner Drake, co-owner of C2 Tactical Mesa, said. “We’re honored to bring this trusted brand to Mesa and excited to serve our local community.”
C2 Tactical opened its first location in Tempe in 2013 and expanded to Scottsdale in 2018. The company provides firearms training, shooting range access and related services.
“Franchising was never about rapid expansion, it was about finding the right people who believe in our values, our culture and our commitment to safety, training and customer experience,” Vincent Vasquez, owner of C2 Tactical, said. “Turner and Tina embody the qualities that we were looking for in franchise partners, and Mesa is the perfect next step for our brand.”
