Mesquite Fresh Street Mex will continue its expansion across the Valley with a new restaurant planned for Laveen later this fall.
The restaurant, found at 5535 W. Baseline Road, will be the Arizona-grown fast-casual chain’s 11th location in the Phoenix metropolitan area and its latest addition to one of the region’s fastest-growing communities, according to a press release.
The Laveen opening marks another step in the company’s growth since launching its first location in Old Town Scottsdale in 2015. The locally owned restaurant brand serves street-style Mexican fare prepared with proteins grilled over mesquite wood.
“Laveen has been on our radar for quite some time, and we’re excited to finally bring Mesquite to a community that continues to grow,” Ahmad Alatrash, co-founder of Mesquite Fresh Street Mex, said. “Every new restaurant gives us the opportunity to introduce more guests to the fresh, mesquite-grilled flavors that have defined our brand from the beginning. We look forward to becoming part of the neighborhood and serving the Laveen community.”
The new restaurant will include a drive-thru, a dedicated pickup window for to-go orders and a 900-square-foot patio.
Guests can expect a menu featuring mesquite-grilled street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, protein bowls and house-made salsas prepared daily. Proteins are grilled over mesquite wood, a signature element of the brand’s menu.
The grand opening celebration is expected to include giveaways and community activities when the restaurant opens later this fall.
