Desert Financial Credit Union has appointed Jamie Britton as its new chief financial officer, adding a financial executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in banking and financial services.
Mr. Britton joins Desert Financial from First Foundation Bank, where he has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since August 2023.
The appointment comes as Desert Financial continues to expand its operations and support long-term growth for members across Arizona, according to a press release.
“Desert Financial Credit Union’s tireless commitment to membership and giving back is an inspiring reminder of the important role credit unions can play in the communities we serve,” Mr. Britton said. “I look forward to joining the team and helping lead our organization through the years ahead as we build on 87 years of financial stability and success in serving Arizona.”
At First Foundation Bank, Britton helped guide the institution through balance sheet management challenges and regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining First Foundation Bank, Mr. Britton held executive leadership positions at Texas Security Bank and Texas Capital Bank, where his responsibilities included strategic and financial planning, forecasting, stress testing, corporate treasury, accounting and investor communications.
Mr. Britton also previously worked at SunTrust Bank and Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture.
Known for a data-driven leadership style, Mr. Britton emphasizes mentorship and professional development in building teams. He holds a Master of Science in quantitative and computational finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Arizona State University.
Mr. Britton is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
