Desert Financial Credit Union has named Jamie Britton as its new chief financial officer, bringing more than 25 years of financial leadership experience to the organization.
Mr. Britton joins the credit union from First Foundation Bank, where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since August 2023, according to a press release.
“Desert Financial Credit Union’s tireless commitment to membership and giving back is an inspiring reminder of the important role credit unions can play in the communities we serve,” said Jamie Britton, chief financial officer of Desert Financial Credit Union. “I look forward to joining the team and helping lead our organization through the years ahead as we build on 87 years of financial stability and success in serving Arizona.”
Mr. Britton said he aims to support the organization’s continued growth and service to members.
At First Foundation Bank, Britton helped guide the institution through balance sheet challenges and regulatory requirements.
Prior to that role, Britton held leadership positions at Texas Security Bank and Texas Capital Bank, where he oversaw strategic and financial planning, forecasting, stress testing, treasury operations, accounting and investor communications. He also previously worked at SunTrust Bank and Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture.
Mr. Britton holds a Master of Science in quantitative and computational finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Arizona State University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mr. Meshey said the appointment comes as the organization continues to expand its operations and strengthen its financial position.
