Joining as new Fiesta Sports Foundation board members are Bonneville Radio Phoenix Market Manager Ryan Hatch; Metier Pharmacy & Clinical Services founder Randle House; and Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona Chief Executive Officer Katia Jones.
The 30-member Board oversees the governance, provides management oversight and strategic direction of the nonprofit organization in support of its prominent role in college football and extensive community and charitable efforts, a press release states.
The Fiesta Sports Foundation is hosting this year’s College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
“I have always said the Fiesta Sports Foundation has the best board, volunteers and staff in all of college sports and we have enhanced our knowledge base even further with this talented trio,” said Fiesta Sports Foundation Board Chair Judy Bernas. “We are adding two people with track records of success as Yellow Jacket Committee members and bringing in a community leader who has served in the nonprofit sector for decades.”
Fiesta Sports Foundation Executive Director & CEO Erik Moses says the time is now to find board members who are strongly commuted to the serving the greater community.
“During this time of transition in college athletics, it is critical to have board members who are strongly committed to serve the community and offer insights from varied professional backgrounds and perspectives,” he said.
“With Ryan’s expertise in media, Randle’s entrepreneurial background and Katia’s achievements in nonprofit development and fundraising, I’m excited about these new additions to our board of directors and increased community connections as we pursue our strategic vision and implementation for future success.”
Mr. Hatch elevates to the board after serving as Yellow Jacket Committee Chair in 2024-25, leading the group to record-breaking fundraising in the first season of the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.
Mr. House has been a Yellow Jacket Committee Member since 2011 and now joins the board after serving as a Yellow Jacket for 13 years.
Ms. Jones brings nearly 25 years of experience in development and constituent relations to the board. Her expertise will assist the organization in its strategic focus on innovative fundraising efforts in support of its mission. Currently the chief executive officer for the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona, Jones has led the fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations across Arizona to support and enhance the organizations’ missions through additional capital.
