I have had the pleasure of serving on council for the past six years with Vice Mayor Mark Stanton. In that time, I have found Mark to be of good temperament, honest, and inclusive.

He is the only council member who has the respect and a relationship with all other council members that he currently serves with on council.

Mark grew up in the Town of Paradise Valley and his aunt lived next door to me during my childhood.

Vice Mayor Stanton is like me, living in the town he grew up in and serving in that capacity, as well as raising a family here too. Although he chose a different high school than I, he was still in the Scottsdale Unified School District. He and I have a wonderful camaraderie when my Firebirds play his Sabercats each year in football.

Vice Mayor Stanton is a business person. He knows how to work through challenging situations to try and create a win for both parties. We need this type person to lead the Town of Paradise Valley in our legislative efforts, and Mark has significant connections at the legislature that is most beneficial to our town. He has more than any other candidate.

Mark supports public safety, the preservation of our beautiful town and is a fiscal conservative.
What I most admire about Vice Mayor Stanton is that he has been unanimously elected to serve as Vice Mayor two separate times and, for this election, has the support of over 1/3 of the current council.

I strongly encourage you to vote for Mark Stanton for Paradise Valley Mayor. Leadership in Paradise Valley matters and Vice Mayor Stanton is that person.

Editor’s Note: Ellen Andeen is a member of Paradise Valley Town Council
