The School of Ballet Arizona is excited to present its Studio Company Showcase on April 5 at Ballet Arizona’s studio theater, Dorrance Theatre.
Members of Studio Company have been working hard all year and will perform new works from notable and up-and-coming choreographers, School of Ballet Arizona officials tell the Digital Free Press.
These include Gillmer Duran, the School of Ballet Arizona’s Upper Division Student Liaison, Daniela Cardim, Ballet Arizona’s new artistic director, and featured choreographer, Natasha Adorlee. There will also be a special piece featuring several students from the School of Ballet Arizona, choreographed by Melinda Howe, a faculty member with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
The School of Ballet Arizona’s Studio Company is an opportunity for students of the highest rank with the potential and desire to become professional dancers. Members, who are selected by audition only, gain professional exposure and training with The School of Ballet Arizona’s school director, as well as Ballet Arizona’s artistic director and staff.
The Studio Company Showcase will be held on April 5 at 2 and 7 p.m. at Ballet Arizona’s Dorrance Theatre, 2835 E. Washington St. in Phoenix.
