Tempe Diablos Charities has opened its annual grant cycle, inviting nonprofit organizations serving the Tempe community to apply for funding.

The grant program supports organizations working in education, youth development, health, the arts, community enrichment and other services. In 2025, Tempe Diablos awarded more than $700,000 to 98 nonprofit organizations, according to a press release.

“Every year, we are inspired by the incredible work nonprofit organizations are doing throughout Tempe,” Tempe Diablos Charities Chairman Daniel Kyman said. “Our grant program exists to help those organizations expand their reach, serve more people and create lasting change in the community. We encourage any eligible nonprofit making a positive impact in Tempe to apply by January 15, 2027, and share how they are helping move our city forward.”

Applications are due Jan. 15, 2027.

Required application materials include:

•A completed application.
•A complete list of corporations and foundations that contributed to the organization during the previous year and the amount of each contribution of $5,000 or more.
•An annual operating budget.
•A list of the organization’s board of directors, including the primary business or professional affiliation of each member.

Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is among the nonprofits that have received support from Tempe Diablos. For the past three years, the organization has supported the foundation’s Childhood Activities program, which helps children in foster care in Tempe participate in activities and experiences.

“The Tempe Diablos’ continued support has helped AFFCF provide children in foster care with access to activities and experiences that might otherwise be out of reach,” Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation Executive Director Amber Cordoba said. “Because of their ongoing investment in our Childhood Activities program, children in Tempe have had the opportunity to create meaningful childhood memories that they can carry with them for years to come.”

Since 1968, Tempe Diablos has awarded more than $20 million to local nonprofits, schools and service initiatives.
