‘Festival of Tales’ returns to Paradise Valley Community College

The Festival of Tales is back, bringing a free, family-friendly literacy event to the community.

Hosted at Paradise Valley Community College, 18401 N. 32nd Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the day offers an exciting day of storytelling, book giveaways, and hands-on activities designed to inspire a love of reading in children while providing families with valuable educational resources.

What to Expect at Festival of Tales 2025:

•Free Books – Every child who attends will receive a free book to take home.

•Live Storytelling – Enjoy interactive and engaging stories told by skilled storytellers.

•Arts & Crafts – Creative hands-on activities to spark imagination and self-expression.

•Live Performances – Entertainment throughout the day with music, dance, and theater.

•Community Resources – Local organizations, including Southwest Human Development, will be on-site to provide valuable literacy and early childhood development information.

As Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development, Southwest Human Development is proud to participate in Festival of Tales to promote early literacy. Reading is essential for school readiness, and events like this help families gain access to books and resources that encourage a lifelong love of learning.
