Fight Club PHX, promoted by Northstar Sports Advocates, will hold its inaugural event April 18 at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix, combining professional boxing, mixed martial arts and live entertainment.

The event will feature 12 professional boxing and MMA bouts, live music and on-site fan experiences, with programming scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, April 18, according to a press release.

The evening will open with an MMA pro-am card featuring athletes from across the Valley before transitioning to a professional boxing portion with eight scheduled bouts. Additional elements include live music performances and vendor booths throughout the venue.

In the main boxing event, middleweight Micky “Mesa Mick” Scala (12-1, 6 KOs) is scheduled to compete in the Valley for the first time since 2024 after boxing his previous three bouts in New York. Scala is promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing. In the co-main event, Phoenix lightweight Isaac “El Mero Mero” Chavez will return to the ring against veteran Jesus Ramon “Diamante” Perez (15-23-1, 9 KOs) in a six-round fight. Farid Ngoga (11-1, 6 KOs) is also scheduled to compete at super welterweight.

The MMA portion of the card includes professional debuts for Julius Vega, who will face Jorge Mendez, and Angel Briseno of New Mexico, who is scheduled to fight Mesa’s Juan De La Rosa. Amateur bouts are expected to feature Aaron Koutsky, Patrick Jordan, John Garcia, Ray Johnson and Rashad Evans.

Event ambassadors include two-time World Boxing Council welterweight champion Shawn Porter and two-time UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch Fight Club PHX and introduce a first-of-its-kind combat sports and entertainment experience in Arizona,” John Lennon, founder of Northstar Sports Advocates, said. “This event brings together fighters, music, and fans in a way we haven’t seen here before, and it’s an exciting step for our organization as we expand Northstar Sports Advocates into live events.”

The evening is scheduled to begin with a DJ set, red carpet arrivals and vendor activations before the first fights begin at 6 p.m. The main event is anticipated around 10:10 p.m., followed by a VIP after-party at 11 p.m.

Fight Club PHX marks the first live event produced by Northstar Sports Advocates, a Phoenix-based sports and lifestyle firm known for representing professional athletes that is expanding into live event production.
