We Work for Health is providing a $3,000 grant to the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence.
Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s office joined the two organizations in a virtual event announcing the grant, according to a press release.
We Work for Health worked with ACESDV to bring this vital funding to Arizona’s organizations that work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, the release states.
Founded in 1980, ACESDV works directly with victims and survivors and provides services on prevention, recognizing abuse, and encouraging help for those experiencing sexual or domestic violence.
“My first job in college was as a crisis counselor working with domestic violence survivors – so ensuring Arizonans are protected from sexual and physical abuse from their partners is personal to me. I’m grateful to the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence and We Work For Health for their partnership helping strengthen support, protections, and resources for Arizonans in need,” said Arizona senior Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.
ACESDV CEO Jenna Panas expressed gratitude for the funding support.
“We are incredibly thankful to We Work For Health for their commitment to ending domestic and sexual violence,” she said. “Their donation will enable us to create a safer and more supportive environment for those impacted by domestic violence and substance use by being able to provide comprehensive training to Arizona domestic violence providers, equipping them with the skills to manage and mitigate the risks associated with fentanyl in our community.”
Dan Leonard of We Work For Health says the funding effort is a pursuit to help bolster the existing health care ecosystem through community partnership.
“We Work for Health works with community partners across the entire healthcare ecosystem.,” he said. “While we champion the innovation industry when it comes to creating and fostering new cures and treatments, we also know that our role and responsibility to the community does not end there. That is why we are so proud to support ACESDV and their mission to help those in need and provide resources to those who may be victims of drug abuse.”
