Two Phoenix Country Day School students are preparing to bring a new sports bottle to market after generating significant interest ahead of its presale launch.

Carson Rose and Reid Umar will launch presales for the ATLYS One on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The patent-pending product is a 24-ounce, vacuum-insulated stainless-steel water bottle with an electric press-to-spray feature designed to combine one-handed hydration with long-lasting cold retention.

Ahead of the launch, the company generated more than 3 million social media views, built a waitlist of more than 1,400 people and secured more than $140,000 in funding before selling its first bottle, according to a press release.

The first 1,000 units will be available at a presale price of $49.99. After the initial production run, the bottle will retail for $54.99. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Inspiring Children Foundation, which supports young people facing depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health challenges.

The launch follows two years of product development and multiple design revisions, during which Rose and Umar documented their efforts to build the company while balancing school, sports and other commitments.

The idea originated when Umar became frustrated with issues involving disposable and reusable water bottles, including damaged lids, limited cold retention and mold buildup. As an athlete, he believed a better solution was possible and shared the concept with Rose.

“I remember thinking there had to be a better way,” Umar said. “I called Carson and said, ‘Why doesn’t this exist?’ The idea stuck with us, and before long, we found ourselves spending most of our free time trying to figure out how to make it work.”

Mr. Rose and Mr. Umar were both 15 when they formed a 50-50 partnership and began working on a design intended to address challenges associated with existing water bottles. Now 17, they are preparing to introduce the product after two years of development, testing and refinement.

While both relied on disposable squeeze bottles during practices and games, those products often failed to keep beverages cold for extended periods, particularly during Arizona summers. Insulated metal bottles offered better temperature retention but lacked the convenience they wanted.

“We looked around and realized there wasn’t anything currently on the market that solved these common issues,” Rose said. “Every bottle seemed to involve some kind of tradeoff. The more we researched it, the more surprised we were that nobody had really combined those features into one product, so we decided to build it ourselves.”

The ATLYS One features a stainless-steel body designed to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours. The bottle includes a rechargeable electric lid and offers two hydration modes: Jet Mode, which dispenses liquid at the press of a button, and Pour Mode for more traditional drinking.

Mr. Rose and Mr. Umar worked with engineers throughout the design process, evaluating prototypes and making adjustments before finalizing the product. Early concepts included a manual pump system, but the pair ultimately determined that an electric design offered a more practical solution.
