The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona will host the 71st annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show from Feb. 12 to Feb. 22 at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale.
Nearly 2,000 horses will compete for more than $1 million in prize money in a variety of classes showcasing the breed’s versatility and beauty, according to a press release.
“We’re thrilled for the 71st annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, a beloved tradition that brings together the finest Arabian horses and passionate equestrians from around the world,” said Melissa Schalles, executive director of the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona. “This year’s event promises an unforgettable experience for all; from breathtaking classes and interactive exhibits to our vibrant Shopping Expo, it’s a true showcase of the beauty, versatility, and spirit of the Arabian horse. We’re proud to share it with our community.”
The event will feature competitions, interactive exhibits and a Shopping Expo with more than 250 vendors offering fine art, crafts, clothing and jewelry. A new addition this year is the West Coast Sport Horse Championships, recognizing the growing Sport Horse division. The show will also celebrate National Arabian Horse Day on Feb. 19 with special activities.
Daily sessions begin at 8 a.m. General admission is $15, seniors $10, and children 17 and under are free. Military Appreciation Day is Tuesday, Feb. 17, when military personnel and their families receive free admission. Family Night will be Friday, Feb. 20, with free entry starting at 4:30 p.m. An 11-day pass is available for $75. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or at scottsdaleshow.com/tickets.
The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona also announced two new scholarships for 2026, valued at $3,000 each, for high school sophomores, juniors or seniors who compete in at least one Junior to Ride class, complete 10 hours of community service and submit a recommendation letter.
Applicants must also provide an essay on their connection to Arabian horses and future goals.
Proceeds from the event benefit local charities. Past recipients include Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, March of Dimes, Scottsdale Community College Equine Science program, Youth for Troops, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Make-A-Wish Arizona.
