Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley partnered with the Phoenix Raceway, Avondale Toyota and the city of Avondale on Nov. 7 for the 2024 Avondale Championship Open.
The golf tournament had its largest turnout, with 224 golfers generated $150,000 for the organization, according to a press release.
Funds from this year’s event will go toward Boys & Girls Club’s Bob Bové Branch, a Thornwood Legacy in Avondale serving families in the West Valley.
“We are incredibly grateful to Avondale Toyota, Phoenix Raceway, and the city of Avondale for their outstanding support in making the Avondale Championship Open a success,” said Marcia Mintz, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley president and CEO. “Their commitment, along with the generosity of all our participants and partners, ensures we can continue making a meaningful impact for youth in the West Valley.”
Avondale Toyota has been the title sponsor since 2020. The company’s dedication over the last four years has generated $678,725 for various Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley efforts. Avondale Toyota admires the work of the nonprofit and is committed to supporting local families.
“Avondale Toyota is a West Valley business, and supporting those around us is a top priority,” said Kamal Charef, general manager of Avondale Toyota. “We are proud to sponsor an event that brings joy to our community and positively impacts so many.”
