Padeland, a first-of-its-kind indoor destination combining padel, pickleball, wellness and hospitality, is set to open in Chandler in late 2025.
The more than 35,000-square-foot facility will feature professional-grade indoor courts and lifestyle-forward amenities designed for activity, connection and revitalization, according to a press release.
Currently under development in the former LOOK Dine-In Cinemas building in Downtown Chandler, Padeland will include four padel courts, five pickleball courts, a craft brewery and taproom, restaurant, coffee shop, coworking space, and a range of wellness and hospitality features.
Padel: The most popular sport you’ve never heard of
Padel is the world’s fastest-growing sport, outpacing even pickleball internationally. Originating in Mexico in the 1960s, padel is a fast-paced racquet sport that blends elements of tennis and squash. It is typically played in doubles on a smaller, glass-walled court and is known for long rallies, strategic angles and accessible rules.
More than 30 million people play padel in over 140 countries, according to the International Padel Federation. As the sport gains traction in the U.S., Padeland aims to lead its growth in Arizona, especially in communities that value wellness and recreation.
“We set out to build something we couldn’t find here in the Valley: a fun social environment that blends movement, wellness and good vibes,” said Daniel Maldonado, co-founder of Padeland. “Padeland brings together sport, community and great food and drink in a space that’s as exciting and inspiring as the game itself,” Mr. Maldonado said.
The Padeland lifestyle: A new way to work, sweat and socialize
Beyond the courts, Padeland will feature a wellness lounge with cold plunge therapy, sauna and recovery tools, as well as a coworking area for remote professionals.
Guests can enjoy full-service food and beverage options, including a coffee bar, modern restaurant and on-site craft brewery. Whether visiting for a morning match, mid-day work session or evening gathering, Padeland is designed to be a lifestyle destination where members and day visitors connect through competition and camaraderie.
For convenience, customers will have access to a five-story covered parking garage in the busy Downtown Chandler area.
The Chandler location will be the first in a series of planned venues across the region. Each will reflect the character of its local community while staying true to Padeland’s values of excellence, inclusivity and global inspiration.
Padeland is at 1 W. Chandler Blvd.
