The Greater Phoenix Chamber is accepting applications for the board of directors of Valley Young Professionals, a program focused on engaging and retaining young professionals in the Greater Phoenix region.

The board is made up of business leaders ages 25 to 39 who help guide programming, identify speakers and venues, and support partnerships that advance Valley Young Professionals’ mission, according to a press release.

Board members are responsible for the strategic direction of the program and are also asked to use personal and professional networks to promote Valley Young Professionals and the work of the Greater Phoenix Chamber.

“We’re excited to open applications for the Valley Young Professionals Board and invite passionate, community-minded leaders to apply,” said Marcus Benally, senior manager of client advisory and accounting services at REDW and FY26 board chair.

“Serving on the board is a unique opportunity for young professionals to grow their leadership skills, expand their impact, and help shape VYP programs that support and connect the next generation of leaders in Greater Phoenix.”

Valley Young Professionals also functions as a leadership pipeline to the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s board of directors. Board members receive access to leadership development programming, mentorship opportunities and select events.

“Investing in young professionals is essential to the long-term strength of our regional economy,” Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber, said. “Through Valley Young Professionals, we’re building meaningful connections, expanding leadership opportunities, and ensuring the next generation of business leaders is engaged and invested in our community.”

Applicants must be members of the Greater Phoenix Chamber or Valley Young Professionals. Board members serve an initial two-year term with the option to renew for an additional two years. Nonmembers are encouraged to inquire about membership in order to be eligible.
