Biden-Harris campaign chief: Trump ‘doubles down’ on threats of political violence

At a March 16 campaign rally in Ohio, former President Donald Trump reportedly said there would be a ‘bloodbath’ if he wasn’t elected at the upcoming November general election.
Reported by Emma Barnett and Jillian Frankel at NBC News, the former president made the comments on the campaign trail — amid rhetoric discussing trade tariffs against China — at a supporter rally held in Vandalla, Ohio.
From the March 16 report:
“If you’re listening, President Xi — and you and I are friends — but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now … you’re going to not hire Americans and you’re going to sell the cars to us, no.
We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected,” Mr. Trump said.
“Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it,” he added. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories.”

Biden-Harris campaign chief: Trump ‘doubles down’ on threats of political violence
The campaign of President Joe Biden reached out to the Digital Free Press offering comment from James Singer, spokesperson for the Biden-Harris presidential campaign, following the calls for violence at an Ohio rally with national political implications.
“This is who Donald Trump is: a loser who gets beat by over 7 million votes and then instead of appealing to a wider mainstream audience doubles down on his threats of political violence. He wants another Jan. 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge.”
After opening the general election campaign by meeting with authoritarian leaders and rallying alongside conspiracy theorists, President Biden supporters decry Mr. Trump’s continued praise of dictators, promise to pardon political violence, and launch racist attacks against Black and brown Americans.
