Scottsdale Leadership has announced the members of Class 41. The 40 class members were selected from a pool of applicants and represent a cross section of the Scottsdale community.
The participants will begin a nine-month leadership development program focused on the connections between key community issues, including Scottsdale history, education, government, public safety, sustainability initiatives, human services, bias and boundaries, economic development, technology, health and vitality, and arts and culture. Each graduating class also participates in Project Lead It Forward, a community service initiative designed to connect leadership development with local projects, according to a press release.
These community-based projects provide participants an opportunity to apply lessons from the program to projects benefiting partner organizations.
“We are committed to providing high-quality, immersive leadership experiences that build skills and encourage meaningful civic engagement. Just as importantly, our participants put leadership into action and create a lasting and significant impact in our community,” Dana Close, assistant director of Scottsdale Leadership, said.

About Scottsdale Leadership
Scottsdale Leadership is a nonprofit organization that offers a nine-month experiential leadership development program featuring expert-led learning days and community-based projects designed to support personal and professional growth.
Program graduates have gone on to serve as elected officials, board and commission members, and leaders within corporate and nonprofit organizations. Scottsdale Leadership also emphasizes community service through volunteer activities and its Project Lead It Forward program, which supports community and nonprofit organizations by helping address unmet needs.
Founded in 1986, Scottsdale Leadership has graduated more than 1,400 individuals.
