The bottom of the list tells a different story
Not every property scored well. Desert Diamond Casino, White Tanks finished last, at 3.7 from just over 750 reviews, a clear outlier at the bottom. Bucky’s Casino & Prescott Resort and Hon-Dah Resort Casino weren’t far behind at 3.8 each. Both sit well outside the Phoenix metro, and the distance probably explains part of the gap. Fewer visitors passing through means fewer chances to build the kind of review volume that smooths out a bad night here or there.
Arizona’s tribal gaming footprint has expanded well past Phoenix and Scottsdale over the last two decades, growing into one of the state’s steadier economic engines alongside tourism and construction. That growth is exactly why a ranking like this carries weight. With dozens of properties competing for the same travelers, a score built on tens of thousands of individual visits tells you more than a friend’s recommendation or a five-star review posted the week a casino opened.

National Arizona Day falls on June 21, and rankings like this one tend to surface around that same stretch of the calendar, a yearly gut check on what the state actually offers beyond the Grand Canyon and the hiking trails everyone already knows about.
