Paul Buttermore now inpatient and community living VP at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services

Paul Buttermore oversees myriad inpatient services at Southwest Behavioral

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is announcing Paul Buttermore has been promoted to vice president of Inpatient and Community Living Services.

In this position, Mr. Buttermore will be continuing to oversee all inpatient programs and expanding his areas of responsibility to include community living, residential and housing programs in Maricopa County and programs operating at the opportunity and community resilience centers.

A licensed professional counselor, Mr. Buttermore has more than 15 years of experience in the behavioral health industry, most recently as vice president of crisis and inpatient services, responsible for overseeing the agency’s Maricopa County inpatient units, community recovery units and recovery transition program.

“Paul has an unwavering dedication and commitment to reaching community members who are often overlooked,” said Southwest Behavioral Health Chief Operations Officer Dominic Miller. “He embodies the SB&H mission and is a true champion of others. His promotion is well deserved.”

Mr. Buttermore, a Glendale resident, received his bachelor of arts in behavioral science from Western International University and a master of arts in mental health counseling from Argosy University. Mr. Buttermore is also Marine Corps veteran. His additional experience includes providing clinical oversight and support for programs and services that support the Valley’s homeless, veterans and seriously mentally ill populations.

Before starting at SB&H in 2013, Mr. Buttermore was a mental health counselor with the Phoenix Fire Department.
