The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce will host two public Scottsdale City Council candidate forums this fall, providing residents and business leaders an opportunity to hear directly from candidates appearing on the Nov. 3 General Election ballot.
- The first forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St.
- A second forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at The Homestead Community Center at DC Ranch, 18600 N. 98th St.
Both events are free and open to the public, and advance registration is required.
Scottsdale voters will elect two City Council members in the Nov. 3 General Election. Following the July 21 primary election, the three candidates advancing to the general election ballot are Barry Graham, Michelle Ugenti-Rita and Raoul Zubia, according to a press release.
The two candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the City Council and begin their terms in January 2027.
All three candidates have been invited to participate in both Chamber forums.
“These forums are designed to give Scottsdale residents and members of the business community an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates in a thoughtful, moderated setting,” said Mark Stanton, president and CEO of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce. “An informed community is essential to Scottsdale’s continued success, and these conversations provide voters with another resource as they prepare for the November election.”
Each forum will feature a moderated question-and-answer discussion on issues affecting Scottsdale residents and businesses, including economic development, growth, quality of life and other community priorities. Candidates will have an opportunity to discuss their priorities, policy positions and perspectives on Scottsdale’s future.
