The local nonprofit Executive Council 70 is excited to present its 52nd annual The Original Taste, a formal food and wine event benefiting over 100 children’s charities from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Scottsdale Civic Center.
“This is by far our biggest event of the year,” said EC70 president Alex Kienle. “It’s truly remarkable to see the whole community come together to support local businesses while giving back to disadvantaged youth in the Valley.”
The Original Taste will feature over 20 fan-favorite restaurants like Pyro, STK, Uchi, Cala, Kasai Japanese Steakhouse, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Velvet Taco and more that will give out samples for guests to indulge in. Live entertainment includes performances from Dee Jay Silver and Nashville’s rising country star Josh Ross, according to a press release.
The event will also feature a red carpet for guests to take photos as they enter the event in their formal wear, cocktails served from the Valley’s best bars, a custom hat-making station from Rancher Hat Bar and more, the release states.
The event’s earnings will benefit charities throughout Arizona, including qualifying charities, qualifying foster care charities and 501(c)3 nonprofits.
General admission tickets are $175 per person. EC70 is also offering a VIP admission ticket priced at $275 that allows access to a VIP lounge with premium views of the stage and preferential bar access. VIP tickets will also grant access to The Original Taste’s Afterparty starting at 11 p.m. onsite. General admission guests will have a chance to purchase an after-party ticket at the event. Guests who purchase two or more VIP tickets will get $25 off per ticket.
This event is for ages 21 and older.
