Camelot Homes and Creative Environments received the Best Pool Design award at the second annual Phoenix Home & Garden Honors Design Awards for the pool design at a model home in The Edge at Joy Ranch community in north Scottsdale.
The awards program, presented by Phoenix Home & Garden, recognized more than 100 entries judged by a panel of design professionals, according to a press release.
The pool was designed as a sculptural element intended to complement the home’s contemporary architecture and outdoor living space. The project was a collaboration between Camelot Homes and Creative Environments.
“We are honored to be recognized by Phoenix Home & Garden and such a distinguished panel of judges,” said Kevin Rosinski, president of Camelot Homes. “At Camelot, we believe exceptional design extends beyond the walls of the home. This award reflects our commitment to creating thoughtfully integrated indoor and outdoor spaces that embrace their natural surroundings and inspire the way people live.”
Mr. Rosinski said the company focuses on integrating outdoor and indoor design elements.
The design features an oval-shaped pool that reflects the curvature of the covered patio above it, creating a cohesive connection between the home’s architecture and outdoor space. Sliding glass doors from the main living areas provide views of the pool and surrounding landscape.
Phoenix Home & Garden has covered residential design in the Southwest for more than 45 years. This year’s judging panel included architect and designer Jose Achi, interior designer Julia Buckingham Vikander, editor and author Brad Mee, and architectural interior designer Charles Pavarini.
The Edge at Joy Ranch, located in north Scottsdale, is Camelot Homes’ newest community. The model home, designed by Hannouche Architects, highlights contemporary architecture and outdoor living features.
