Lost Our Home Pet Rescue gathered its community for the 16th annual Sit. Stay. Brunch event, celebrating the organization’s mission to save pets and assist pet owners facing hardships and homelessness.

The brunch welcomed 350 guests and raised $539,900 to support programs including temporary care, the pet food bank, shelter services and veterinary care, according to a press release.

“We are grateful for the community’s generosity,” said Jodi Polanski, founder and executive director of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue. “Economic challenges have significantly increased both the demand for our services and the cost of delivering them. Our annual Sit. Stay. Brunch is essential to sustaining this work.”

Guests gathered at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia in the Town of Paradise Valley to hear stories from families who have received services. John Holmberg of KUPD’s Morning Sickness show served as emcee.

The Pet Champion Excellence Award honored Jami Pryor for her contributions to helping animals in crisis and preserving the bond between people and pets.

Festivities included adoptable dogs and cats, a photo booth and a live auction hosted by auctioneer Letitia Frye.
