Sharpen Up Dance Summit comes to Fountain Hills

The Town of Fountain Hills is announcing the Sharpen Up Dance Summit is coming to town on Aug. 2 and 3 at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive, where nearly 200 dancers from across the country will take master classes and technique workshops.

“We’re thrilled to be Sharpen Up Dance Summit’s 2025 host,” said Jennifer Lyons, Community Center manager, in a prepared statement. “This is a great opportunity for visitors and Valley dancers to learn from the best of the best and set them up for success at future auditions.”

During the event, attendees will take part in more than 18 hours of dance classes, master classes, networking, and college recruiting opportunities. On Saturday evening, juniors and seniors can participate in “Golden Hour”, which includes a mock audition with live feedback from college coaches. Sunday will include a variety of learned material showcases and meet-and-greets with recruiters.

Additional activities include:

• “Golden Nuggets” educational mini‑seminars by college coaches

• 4×8 solo showcases and written feedback

• Boutique-style vendor tables where dancers have access to special deals

• Recruiting tables where dancers meet every school

• Classes taught by current college dance team members

• Networking and relationship-building opportunities

Colleges expected to attend include Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Grand Canyon University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, University of Oregon, University of Washington, United States Air Force Academy, Arizona Christian University, San Diego State University, Oklahoma City University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Idaho, Sam Houston State University, Trinity Christian College, Central Methodist University, Doane University, New Mexico State University and more.

Sharpen Up DTT hosts boutique‑style recruiting dance summits across the U.S., focusing on educating dancers and facilitating personal connections with college programs.
