Scottsdale Recovery Center has expanded its continuum of care with two specialty treatment programs designed to support pregnant and postpartum women and Native American tribal members.
The programs combine evidence-based clinical care with medical, behavioral health and recovery services tailored to the needs of each population.
The Pregnant and Postpartum Women’s Residential Treatment Program provides trauma-informed residential care for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Participants receive individualized substance use treatment, psychiatric care focused on perinatal mental health, prenatal care coordination, medication-assisted treatment, parenting education, family programming and ongoing recovery support within a multidisciplinary care model.
“Our goal has always been to remove barriers to recovery by providing care that meets people where they are,” said Lee Yaiva, chief executive officer of Scottsdale Recovery Center. “These specialty programs allow us to deliver more individualized treatment while recognizing the unique experiences, cultures and challenges that shape each person’s recovery journey.”
Eligible participants may also reside at The Trullies of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Recovery Center’s certified recovery housing community for expectant mothers. The residence provides housing, case management, life-skills development, transportation assistance, mentorship and family support services intended to help women establish a foundation for long-term recovery.
Scottsdale Recovery Center also expanded its Reztoration Health and Healing Program for Native American tribal members. Developed in partnership with Native American leaders, the program incorporates traditional healing practices alongside behavioral health treatment through Talking Circles, Sweat Lodge ceremonies, Motherhood Is Sacred, Fatherhood Is Sacred, the Gathering of Native Americans curriculum and other culturally grounded services.
The program builds on partnerships with tribal communities across Arizona, including the Hopi Tribe, Hualapai Tribe, Havasupai Tribe, Navajo Nation, Gila River Indian Community, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and Tohono O’odham Nation. Through those partnerships, Scottsdale Recovery Center provides substance use treatment, mental health services and recovery housing while coordinating care with Tribal Regional Behavioral Health Authorities, according to a press release.
Together, the two specialty programs reflect Scottsdale Recovery Center’s continued efforts to expand access to behavioral health care across Arizona. Both programs offer individualized treatment plans, coordinated medical and behavioral health services, case management and long-term recovery support designed to help participants sustain recovery and wellness.
