The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its upcoming Women in Leadership program, Women of Valor from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas, 6333 N. Scottsdale Road.
The luncheon will feature four women whose military service laid the foundation for careers in business and community leadership, according to a press release.
The Women of Valor program recognizes leadership shaped through military experience and highlights how each panelist has transformed that service into advocacy and impact, the release states.
Attendees will hear firsthand how these veterans navigated the transition to civilian life, the lessons they carried forward and how they continue to empower others.
Featured panelists include:
•Ms. Stephanie Miller, senior director of programs and events, Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce; director of the Veteran and Military Affairs Coalition; U.S. Air Force veteran and community leader.
•Ms. Veronica Morgan, director of community engagement and development, The Home of Record Project; U.S. Army combat veteran and nonprofit advocate.
•Ms. Cynthia Olórtegui, MBA, regional account manager for veteran services, UHS; U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and mental health advocate.
•Ms. Nicole Pogue, executive director, Azura Veterans Coalition; founder of East Valley Women Veterans; U.S. Navy veteran and coalition-builder.
“Women of Valor will honor the extraordinary paths of women who not only served our nation with courage but also transitioned into successful business careers,” said Ms. Michelle Pabis, vice president of government and community affairs for HonorHealth. “What makes their stories truly remarkable is that each remains deeply committed to serving veterans and the military community, using their leadership and influence to continue making a difference.”
