Intersection Development broke ground yesterday at Rainbow Road — one of the latest development projects along Roosevelt Row designed by Libeskind Studio Design.
First announced in early 2023, the project’s final design now features an updated exterior, an additional floor, and amenities that focus on creating a sanctuary tailored for health, wellness, and digital convenience, according to a press release.
Construction on Rainbow Road will conclude in early 2025, the release states.
One of the updates in Rainbow Road’s design is its striking new black exterior. The exterior is designed to honor the bold choices and designs that take place in the arts district, representatives of the Libeskind Studio tell the Digital Free Press.
This choice enhances the contrast with colorful decorative window insets for visual impact. The addition of another floor will allow the building’s entire first floor to be dedicated to public-facing endeavors, therefore fostering greater community engagement.

The building will offer 36 luxury apartments, each designed for form and function. These units are crafted with a focus on aspects like noise reduction and optimal lighting, ensuring sleep and relaxation.
They feature sleek finishes and thoughtful details, embodying the essence of luxury living, seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge home automation and smart technology.
“We’re thrilled to break ground on Rainbow Road, which we see as a tribute to the dynamism of urban life,” said Zac Cohen, partner for Intersection Development. “Our hope is that Rainbow Road becomes a place where every corner is infused with creativity and every space is an opportunity for connection and inspiration.”
This modern approach ensures convenience, efficiency, and a heightened living experience for our residents.
In addition to thoughtfully designed residential units, the building offers an array of modern amenities. These include convenient mail access designed for efficient package deliveries, catering to the digitally connected lifestyle of our residents.
Additionally, Intersection Development is creating a public-facing outdoor space, seamlessly integrating it between the parking structure and the building’s south side, to provide a serene and accessible area for relaxation and community engagement.
Rainbow Road offers direct access to a world of eclectic dining, unique shopping, and cultural power-ups. Rainbow Road is more than a place to live; it’s a vibrant community hub.
Representatives of both Libeskind Studio Design and Intersection Development aim to make the building’s unique design more pronounced and to facilitate public involvement with the space more consistently. The general contractor helping to carry out the two companies’ vision is Irwin Construction. The Architect of Record will be AAK Architecture and Interiors.
