MJ Insurance has been named one of Phoenix Business Journal’s 2023 Healthiest Employers.
Healthiest Employers, a national awards program, uses a comprehensive online assessment to evaluate companies based on ‘Six Pillars of Wellness’ including culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, according to a press release.
The program is administered by Springbuk, a health data analytics platform, the release states.
“The purpose of our organization is to inspire our associates to be their very best in their personal and professional lives,” said Michael H. Bill, MJ Insurance CEO. “MJ’s health and wellness program, ‘A Healthier YOU,’ is a direct reflection of our commitment to our associates so that they may feel supported in everything they do, which includes their individual wellbeing.”
MJ provides numerous opportunities for associates to improve their physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial wellbeing. One of the company’s most successful programming has been the partnership MJ has created with its near site and virtual health clinic in addition to its healthcare concierge app.
MJ also offers associates mental health and therapy services with HealthJoy, a telepathy and chat-based app.
“The intent is to provide comprehensive access to resources that make health and wellness more accessible for our team members and their families,” Mr. Bill said.
Beyond supporting the health and wellbeing of MJ’s associates, MJ’s programs have had a positive impact on productivity. Data from MJ’s healthcare concierge app directly demonstrates time saved when employees do not spend time commuting to or waiting to be seen at traditional health centers.
This year, 78 finalists were selected as the Phoenix Business Journal’s 2023 Healthiest Employers based on their health and wellness initiatives. MJ has been named a finalist in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers program for five consecutive years.
