Impact Gymnastics is expanding into the West Valley with the acquisition of the former Flames Gymnastics location at 8154 W. Bell Road, Suite A-2, in Glendale.
The facility will be rebranded as Impact Gymnastics-Arrowhead as Flames Gymnastics owner MeJa Lee transitions away from the Bell Road location to focus on the company’s remaining gyms, according to a press release.
“Impact has built something special in Phoenix, and I know they’ll do right by this community,” Flames Gymnastics owner MeJa Lee said. “Stepping back from this location lets me put my full focus on my other gyms, and I couldn’t be happier handing these families over to a team I trust.”
Impact Gymnastics is owned by Samantha and Ozzie Baltierrez. The company’s Phoenix location serves more than 1,000 students ranging in age from 6 months to 18 years.
“We live in the West Valley, and our kids go to school right down the road from this new location, so this expansion feels personal,” Impact Gymnastics Co-Owner Samantha Baltierrez said. “Growing this business has always been the goal. Now we get to make that impact in the community we call home.”
The Arrowhead location will open in phases. A soft opening is scheduled for the week of Sept. 14-17 with a limited class schedule. A full schedule running Monday through Saturday will begin the week of Oct. 5. A grand opening celebration is planned for Oct. 16.
The new facility will offer recreational gymnastics, Kinder and tumbling classes, as well as Ninja Zone programming, camps and open gym sessions. Cheer classes and Friday night open gym events will remain exclusive to the Phoenix location.
To mark the opening, Impact Gymnastics is waiving registration fees at the Arrowhead location through Sept. 19, which is recognized as National Gymnastics Day. Class pricing at the Glendale location will match pricing at the Phoenix gym.
