The Tempe Diablos have partnered with the LPGA Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass as a founding partner, reinforcing their mission to enhance the community through leadership and charitable giving.
The tournament will take place from March 26 to 29, 2026, at Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass.
The partnership aims to support charitable initiatives and community engagement, according to a press release.
“Our partnership as a founding partner of the Ford Championship is about more than golf — it’s about giving back,” Todd Pearson, LPGA committee chairman for the Tempe Diablos, said.
“Every Pro-Am foursome, hospitality package and volunteer hour we contribute directly impacts lives in our community. By tying in our Ignite the Night fundraiser, we’re creating a platform to raise resources and awareness for local charities, ensuring that this event leaves a lasting impact far beyond the course.”
For more than 50 years, the Tempe Diablos have supported education, youth programs and charitable initiatives throughout the Valley, donating more than $20 million to local nonprofits since their inception. Their involvement in the Ford Championship aligns with their mission to create opportunities and strengthen community connections.
“We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with the Tempe Diablos. Their commitment to community aligns with our vision for the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass, and together we’re creating ways for fans and partners to engage while giving back to the community,” Emily Podzielinski, tournament director, said.
Mr. Pearson said the group will support the Ford Championship by offering a limited selection of Pro-Am and hospitality experiences, with proceeds advancing charitable initiatives throughout the Tempe community.
The Diablos will also assist with the LPGA’s volunteer program by providing members to welcome spectators and help with operational needs during tournament week.
To celebrate the partnership and the tournament, the Tempe Diablos will host their spring fundraiser, Ignite the Night, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass. This year’s theme is Back to the 80s, featuring The Spazmatics, billed as “The Ultimate 80s New Wave Tribute.”
