Phoenix is launching a new tool to help Phoenix guests and residents easily find parking when visiting downtown Phoenix.
ParkPHX, a web-based application, is designed to provide easy access to information on all public parking facilities in one convenient location — helping users find parking.
“We know when people come downtown, they are looking to catch a game, see a show or have a night out at our amazing restaurants,” said Jerry Harper, director of the Phoenix Convention Center, which manages city-owned parking garages. “As the fifth-largest city in the country, our bustling downtown brings thousands of visitors and residents to events and attractions. ParkPHX will allow people to reserve their spot ahead of time and gives them more time to explore downtown—not search for parking.”
ParkPHX offers a comprehensive inventory of parking in downtown Phoenix and is a source of real-time parking information for drivers looking for daily, monthly or event parking, including valet services, officials at City Hall tell the Digital Free Press.
Along with information on each public parking facility, such as ADA access, EV inventory, and height limits, ParkPHX will also provide integrated parking reservations and dynamic pricing for participating partner facilities.
“Downtown is a vibrant area, and as such, there’s a constant flow of traffic at our parking garages, during peak events, spaces are always in high demand,” said April Truncellito, deputy director at the Phoenix Convention Center & Venues. “This tool will allow people the ability to plan ahead and never miss a moment of the action. The goal of this system is to make parking as simple and easy as possible, whether you’re looking for the closest spot, the most affordable option, or the amenities offered.”
